Soul Ryder: AJourney into the Merging of Souls by Nita Lapinski is a fascinating story about Addie Ryder, a psychic who sees the souls of people who have passed. When Addie meets a young girl, Leah, a soul who has yet to pass to the other side, she sets out to help Leah realize that she is no longer living and help her pass over before it becomes too difficult. But Addie has her own troubles she must deal with while trying to help Leah. Addie’s help becomes a race against time when her personal problems interfere with her need to help Leah. Will she be able to overcome her own insecurities and be the help that Leah needs, or will her need to find peace for her own loss hold her back?

“And just for fun let’s call this book a work of fiction.” When I started reading Soul Ryder: A Journey into the Merging of Souls by Nita Lapinski, I was intrigued, to say the least, when I read the above quote in her dedication. If this story is just a fictional tale about a psychic who tries to help a troubled soul, it is an impressive story. But if this story is based on actual events, it is an epic story. Told from a first-person perspective, the author made me feel what Addie was feeling, her joy and her sorrow. Every word in this novel had me hooked. The detail with which the scenes were described was just perfect. To say I enjoyed it is to put it lightly. I loved it.
